Overview
At North East Trophies, we’ve always believed in supporting grassroots sport. Our partnership with Ball Out 3x3, the UK’s largest and most exciting 3x3 basketball tournament, is a perfect example of that commitment. Led by the brilliant Joseph Julius, Ball Out has grown into a national platform for emerging basketball talent – and we’re proud to have played a part in that journey.
From Suppliers to Friends
We first started working with Joseph several years ago, supplying custom-made trophies for Ball Out events. In return, the tournament includes our branding at events and on digital platforms as part of a wider sponsorship agreement. It’s a genuine partnership that’s grown stronger year after year.

A Winning Team
Taking 3x3 to New Heights
Ball Out isn’t just a tournament. It’s a movement. What started as a local competition is now a major national event, with qualifying rounds across the country and a huge finals weekend that brings together top talent from all corners of the UK.
In 2022, the tournament was featured in an ITV documentary, which followed the lives of two 3x3 players and explored the powerful role basketball plays in their lives. The documentary reached an estimated 40 million viewers, giving Ball Out incredible visibility and helping to grow the sport even further.
That same year, 3x3 basketball made its debut at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. England’s men’s team won gold and the women took silver, a landmark moment for British basketball – and a huge achievement for a sport Joseph and the Ball Out team have championed for years.

What's next?
oseph has just been confirmed as the 3x3 basketball coach for Team England at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, which is a fantastic achievement. We’re excited to see what’s next for him and for Ball Out – and we’re looking forward to continuing our support for years to come.
